Michael Jackson & Deborah Rowe

Deborah Jeanne Rowe, The couple married in 1996 in Australia, but later divorced after both children were born, with Jackson gaining full custody of both of their children.

The identity of Blankets mother is still unknown, but Jackson did reveal that the child was the result of artificial insemination from a surrogate mother and himself.

Michael Jackson had finished another gruelling day of rehearsals, for his up and coming and FINAL arena show, consisting of fifty dates, at the London O2 arena, The ‘THIS IS IT’ show was never to be seen by the public.  Michael Jackson’s name will, it seems forever live on, and be known by generations to come, only because of the pure genius of his music, and groundbreaking dance abilities, his absolute flawless showmanship whilst he was on the stage, and of course his essentricity, that gripped the world to his every move of his life. He brought us the moonwalk, the instantly recognisable red and black leather jackets, the superspeed spin, and the glittery glove,

Cissy Houston, Mother of the late Singing Megastar, Whitney Houston, has spoken out against Rihanna portraying her daughter in any future film based on the tragic singers life.

Following recent revelations that current chart topper, Rihanna, has shown a keen interest in playing Houston in any upcoming film to be made about her life, it has been reported that one person is certain Rihanna is not the person to take the role on, and that is Whitney’s mother, Cissy. “Over my dead body!” 78-year-old Cissy has said of the idea, according to a National Enquirer source. “Cissy does not think Whitney should be represented by someone like Rihanna,” the source revealed. “Cissy believes Rihanna celebrates everything she hated about Whitney’s life. The drugs, the boozing, the abusive relationship.” Despite Whitney’s highly publicised troubles, it is reported that Cissy wants any future film about her daughter to tell the story of her triumphs as well. “In spite of what anyone thought about Whitney, she sees her as a God-fearing Christian who loved the Lord,” the source said.

On February 11 2012, Whitney Houston was found dead at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, submerged in the bathtub. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported the cause of Houston’s death was drowning and the effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use. The news sent shock waves across the world with fans taking to the streets and the Internet, with a very public out pour of sadness, grief and disbelief.

This does not come as much of a surprise, following recent media stories surrounding Rihanna. The star recently told The Press Association she would “love” to play Houston in an upcoming movie, admitting, “That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do because I would want to really pull it off.”   Rumours of the film has attracted plenty of attention and interest. Houston, after all, is one of the biggest selling singing sensations we have known and was loved by millions worldwide. Whoever does get picked to play the leading role will have a massive responsibility on their hands. Houston’s life consisted of many up’s and down’s. With massive success in her professional life, accompanied by many low’s in her private one. Such an emotional and turbulent story can only be expressed and fed to the viewer as real, by someone capable of placing themself in Houston’s shoes. Feeling her pain. Understanding her struggles. Being able to portray a real person, and leaving the audience convinced is not something every actress can pull off. It takes a different mind frame and plenty of heart.

Rihanna is yet to respond to these latest reports. We will keep you updated as this story unfolds.

Film director and former love of Amy Winehouse, Reg Traviss, has been arrested and questioned in connection with an alleged rape, it has emerged this week.
35-year-old Traviss, was question under police caution, on April 5th. He attended the police station under prior arrangement made by his legal representatives.
Friends have expressed their deep shock over this matter and vow to support Traviss all the way in clearing his name. It comes after a women reported an incident to police earlier this year, in January. A source close to Traviss has told the Daily Mail: “He does know the women who made the report to police and he completely denies the allegations.” Adding: “He will do everything in his power to fight this.”

Traviss had been dating the ‘ Back to Black ‘ singer for two years at the time of her death, back in July 2011. News of her passing hit fans hard, worldwide, and an out pouring of grief and shock soon followed. Traviss accompanied the Winehouse family a short while after that tragic day, to meet with fans and well wishers who had gathered outside Amy’s Camden Square home. It was clearly a hard ask for all involved, and he later spoke to The Sun, saying: “The last three days have been hell. We have suffered a terrible untimely loss and want peace now. I can’t describe what I am going through and I want to thank, so much, all of the people who have paid their respects and who are mourning the loss of Amy, such a beautiful, brilliant person and my dear love. I have lost my darling who I loved very much.”
He also added: “She has been full of life and so upbeat recently, exercising everyday and doing yoga. This terrible thing is like an accident.”

Amy’s father Mitch, addressed the congregation at her funeral, with fond words for Reg, and his relationship with his daughter, saying: “Amy found love with Reg. He helped her with her problems and Amy was looking forward to their future together.” He went on by adding: “She was the happiest she had been in years.”

A spokesman representing the Metropolitan Police, released this statement earlier this week: “A 35-year-old man was arrested by appointment, on April 5th, by officers from the Westminster Sapphire Unit, in relation to an allegation of rape, reported to police on January 18th. He is bailed to return to a central London police station in early July.”

No further details have been released regarding this matter and Traviss is yet to make any comment.

Cash strapped Britain has proved itself selfish, in a recent survey, showing that when it comes to food, we are just not sharing.

We may be in the middle of a recession, but a new survey* has revealed that us Brits are as self-serving as ever, with one in ten admitting to becoming more selfish since the downturn first bit five years ago.

The study found that almost one in five Brits are more concerned with looking after number one when it comes to their eating habits in particular. Nearly a quarter of those surveyed confessed to never sharing food with friends or family members, with more than a third blaming this on ever-soaring food prices.   Those aged 18-24 were found to be the worst culprits when it comes to putting themselves first – one in ten admitted to always nabbing the larger piece when sharing food, with a small percentage even going to extreme lengths such as eating in private to avoid sharing in the first place.

Nevertheless, Fudges, who commissioned the research exposing the belt-tightening traits of modern Britain, is backing the camp of Brits who remain steadfast in their generosity, and claim to still share food at least once a week despite the tightening grip of the recession. The Dorset-based biscuit makers is launching a campaign designed to encourage even the most miserable amongst us to spend more time with friends and family by breaking a biccie.

The Managing Director of Fudges says, “I always think of Britain as a nation of sharers so it’s surprising to think that the reality is we’re just getting more selfish.”

This survey is showing us that not only is the current economic situation, taking its toll on all of our finances, but our social lives too, is it not time to come together, dust off those dinner party plates, get together with your friends and family, bring back good old family sunday lunches, or treating your loved ones to a social evening of food, conversation and laughter.

This Summer is full of things to celebrate with the Jubilee, and the London 2012 Olympics, let’s get together as a nation, share our food and bring Britain back to a happier more social time.

Today marks the first Anniversary of the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton, now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since, Britons took to the streets to celebrate in traditional british manner, of street parties, and bunting, making our nation smile for a day, during these economically critical times. Hundreds of millions of people across the world watched, as TV channels broadcast live. Kate Middleton walked down the isle, at Westminster Abbey, in a beautiful lace Alexander McQueen dress.  William, waited at the front of the Abbey, looking every inch a Prince, in the Red Irish Guards Tunic, uniform.

Well a year has past and what a year it has been for young Royal Couple, a year that has seen the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge  mark several important milestones including their first Royal overseas tour to North America, the announcement of a number of charitable patronage’s, Kate’s first solo public speech, as well as an addition to the family in the form of a pet cocker spaniel, Lupo, a spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has confirmed that they are spending the weekend of their first anniversary “privately”.

In a year in which the spotlight is well and truly on all things British and London related, British toy company, Arklu, and photographer Duncan Raban have imagined what this weekend, might entail.

Photograph by Duncan Raban

Duncan explains the motivation behind his photos: “I love to put children’s toy characters into real life human everyday situations. I guess this fun concept seems to bring out the childhood in people’s hearts and it’s been so much fun watching people enjoy this kind of theatre on the streets.”

Whatever the couple have really been ding this weekend to celebrate their first anniversary, im sure they have taken timeout to spend with each other and look back on their amazing year.

Happy Anniversary

William and Katherine

Award winning singer Rihanna, has created cause for concern from fans and family following recent photographs released to the media.

Rihanna & Ronald Fenty

Ronald Fenty, father of one of the biggest selling female artist’s of modern times, Rihanna, has spoken out in a recent interview with The Sun newspaper about his concerns for his songstress daughter.  After recent photo’s released on the singer’s Twitter page, and other news outlets showing her smoking what appears to be Marijuana. There are other  snaps of her cutting up a mysterious white powder, causing concern about her bahaviour.    Rihanna sparked controversy at the beginning of 2012 after being photographed in Hawaii smoking a hand rolled cigerette, that some people have suspected is marjuana.   Later on that same day she took to her Twitter, writing:   “Kush rolled, glass fill…I prefer the better things!”   Lyrics she quoted from Rapper Drake‘s hit single “Up All Night.”

The 24-year-old first showed signs that the ‘Good girl has possibly gone Bad’ in October of last year, when she stopped off at Amsterdam’s notorious Bulldog Cafe, one of the first venues in Holland to legally sell Marijuana after it was decriminalised in the 1970s. She was photographed walking out of the cafe with her entourage, wearing sunglasses and a fur hat.   But it is the photo’s taken at the 2012 Coachella festival in California, in which she is sat upon the shoulders of a male security guard appearing to cut up a mysterious white powder.   Ronald Fenty, has told the press that his daughter’s wild behaviour could be a bad road for the young pop star. He went on to talk about Rihanna‘s love for the late Whitney Houston.   Fenty revealed in the interview with The Sun newspaper,   Rihanna was obsessed with Houston as a kid: “She used to love Whitney. Robyn [Rihanna’s birth name] would always sing along toI Will Always Love You.'”   He added, “She admired Whitney because of her range, her voice, her appearance, her personality, everything. She loved Whitney so much she would be honoured to play her in a movie. I think she would accept in a heartbeat.”

Fenty, who battled drug and alcohol addiction himself throughout his daughters younger days also sounded off on Rihanna’s likelihood of following Houston’s downward spiral: “I hope she will be smart enough not to go down that path. I think she is smart enough not to.”   Rihanna is quoted by one UK news paper as saying: “My first song that I remember falling in love with was a Whitney Houston song— ’I Will Always Love You.’ All of her music actually was always played in my house.”   When asked about possibly playing Houston in any future movie about the star and her life, she went on to say: “That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do because I would want to really pull it off. That’s a huge, huge role and whoever does it has to do a good job.”

In response to MTV, who first published the controversial story about her Coachella antics, Rihanna took to Twitter yet again simply saying: “Pathetic C*****.”

Let’s hope this apparent episode in her life is momentary and short-lived. Or could it all be a way of gaining more media attention? Either way, Sataloma News would like to wish Rihanna all the best and express the world is not ready to watch another young talented female fall victim to the strains and pressure money, fame and success can bring. With hit after hit, we look forward to hearing more Music from the chart topper for many years to come.

Ranging from the ancient tradition of carrying a rabbit’s foot to the more modern practice of avoiding the cracks in the pavements, the UK remains a deeply superstitious nation.   Research has found that 8% of Britons believe that Friday 13th is unlucky, meaning that they suffer from a phobia known as Friggatriskaidekaphobia.
