‘The bottle is hand painted and shows a cross to mimic the effect of a bottle of Holy Water. But this cross also bears four gold rays coming from behind, which can also be considered the symbol of Scientology.
‘Tom Cruise water can be used in rituals, potions, or perfumes. It can be dabbed behind the ears or on the wrists for good luck. You can place some of it around the hearth of your home baptize your baby with it. The possibilities are endless.
At last count, six people had bid.
The 110ml glass bottle was collected by a fan from a pool in Miami Beach, Florida, on July 16 last summer.
So how far would you go to get a pice of celebrity culture, even if it is just water from their pool ? we all hear of celebrities auctioning off outfits or memorabilia for charitable causes, and the amount that has been spent is sometimes outrageous, but in the past some of the strangest things have been auctioned. John Lennon’s TOOTH was auctioned off in November 2011 and went for a reported $30,000, but what is the buyer going to do with John Lennon’s, tooth ? and is it really worth that kind of money?
I guess some fans would go to great lengths to have a personal memento of their favorite star, but is it a step too far to purchase Scarlett Johansson used tissue? (in which she blew her nose) – which was sold for $2,075 to raise money for a good cause, or to be the proud owner of Justin Bieber’s bangs, or left over breakfast?.
The Final straw in taking it too far must definitely be, the news that the ‘Death Bed’ of Michael Jackson – The King Of Pop – will be auctioned off not to far in the distant future, how we ask ourselves can this item make anyone feel closer to the singer, or in any way moral?
we can all smile at the weird and wonderful array of items that have sold in the past, and see the passion in the people who buy them, but is a mans Death Bed, something that should be used to make a profit? and lets ask….who would actually buy it ?
