World sensation Lana Del Rey looks stunning in a white swimsuit on the cover of Rolling Stone’s May 2012 issue.

In it, the singer explains her feelings about success and criticism after visiting Saturday Night Live performance.

Lana Del Rey is an American singer and songwriter. She has been described as a “self-styled gangsta Nancy Sinatra.   Del Rey’s major-label debut album, Born to Die, debuted at number one in seven countries, including the United Kingdom.

 The album has spawned two worldwide top 10 hits: “Video Games” and “Born to Die“. her next release will be ‘Blue ‘Jeans’ out later this month

One Direction still in disbelief but forever grateful over their massive worldwide success.

After melting the hearts of every young girl in the UK whilst performing week after week on the X Factor UK, Simon Cowell’s Boy band One Direction went on to sign a deal with Simon Cowell’s record company, and promptly became the biggest boy band of the moment, the boys Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, are loved for their good looks, and cheeky personalities. Above all their obvious ability to sing well.  Together  this has proved a winning recipe for success.  Next came the opportunity to visit America, The boys made history today as their debut album UP ALL NIGHT entered the US Billboard 200 chart at #1 with over 176,000 copies sold. This makes chart history as the first British group ever to debut at #1 in the US with their debut album release. UP ALL NIGHT went straight to No.1 on the digital chart within minutes of its official release.

The boys constantly seem grateful and in disbelief about the level of success both here and overseas, in interviews and via twitter.

One Direction boys have spent this year headlining a massive tour across North America, with every date and venue sold out.

And now One Direction have announced a massive show in New York to finish off an amazing year!  Due to overwhelming popular demand, having completely sold out their May/June Tour of North America, the band will headline the prestigious Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 3, 2012.

 

 

PULP Play First Full Live Gig Of 2012

1990’s Brit Pop Superband PULP played their first full live show of 2012 at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Saturday night (March 31).

As part of the Teenage Cancer Trust gigs, throughout 2012. The show opened with a number of questions being projected onto a large screen above the stage. The final one asked the crowd ‘Do You Remember The First Time?’ before Pulp appeared on stage to kick off with the 1994 hit.   The set spanned Pulp’s vast career, including the inclusion of ‘My Lighthouse’ during the encore.

Lead singer and writer of most of the Pulp cataloague of tracks, Jarvis Cocker spoke about how the song, , featured his sister Saskia and her school friend Jill Talbot on backing vocals. The pair joined Jarvis and co  onstage to contribute once again, nearly 30 years later, at which point the crowd went insane with cheering.

“Dunno what you’re clapping for…” quipped Javis, “…nobody bought it.”

 

Jarvis admitted  the fact the band hadn’t played live in six months, aside from performing two songs at the NME Awards in February, when they also picked up this year’s Teenage Cancer Trust Outstanding Contribution To Music award. The show was a massive hit and the overexcited croed sung along to every track they played. It was definately a night for remiscing, and celebrating pure music Talent, that we must never forget.

Jersey Shore Star Snooki has got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Jionni Lavelle .

Reality star 24-year-old Snooki, hit the headlines recently with the revelations that she and Lavelle were expecting their first child People magazine have now reported that a source close to the couple has revealed that they are officially engaged to be married.

Snooki is currently filming her spin-off series to Jersey Shore, the cameras will be following her and best friend and former housemate, j-Wow as they move in together, and spend the summer together. Maybe we will get a glimpse of Snooki arranging her up and coming nuptuals, but the question is, will the happy couple get wed very soon, or will they wait untill after the little bundle of joy makes arrives.

One Direction Injured in Car Crash

Boy Band One Direction were involved in a motor accident last night, leaving three members being treated for neck injuries.

The crash happened in Birmingham, after the boys had played a gig in the city, it is thought that a car drove into their tour bus. Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan,  Zayn Malik and Liam Payne were all checked over and treated at the scene by ambulance crews, police also attended the incident.

Ambulance crews confirmed that three members of the band, were complaining of neck and head pain, but luckily the injuries are not thought to be serious.  Despite the horrendous event, that has been described as “terrifying for all involved”  the group did not let their fans down, and performed as scheduled, at Plymouth Pavilions, although they performed a lighter set than usual.

One Direction Twitter fans, were in a frenzy of worry yesterday, when word got out about the crash. Thankfully the boys are expected to be fully healed within weeks, and it seems the show must go on.
