Dr Conrad Murray is sentenced to four years in jail, for the involuntary manslaughter of ‘King Of Pop’ Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson’s personal physician, was sentenced to four years in jail and denied probation on Tuesday for his conviction on a charge of involuntary manslaughter in the pop star’s death. Michael Jackson died in June 2009 from a drug overdose, principle from the use of anaesthetic Propofol as a sleep aid, which was admisitered by Murray.
In sentencing Murray, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor called Murray’s actions “money for medicine madness that is simply not acceptable to me.”

Murray’s lawyers argued in hope of a more lenient sentence, stating that Murray would be punished for the rest of his life, as he will always be known as the man who caused the death of the King Of Pop ‘Michael Jackson’, but it fell on deaf ears as the judge handed down the maximum sentence. Murray attended court in a grey suit and paisley tie, and showed no emotion, as the sentence was handed to him, but he did blow a kiss to his supporters in court as he was led away by officers.
On his release Dr Conrad Murray will be stripped of his medical licence.
