Planet Earth Live comes to London_BBC Earth

 A BBC press release has confirmed that BBC Earth and George Fenton will present the UK premier of Planet Earth Live at The Barbican London in November .

Composer George Fenton will conduct the BBC Concert Orchestra along side,  HD footage from the BBC         series and a live performance from soloist Haley Glennie-Smith of the Emmy Award winning score for Planet Earth.

George Fenton said “With this production I wanted to create a powerful new experience that would bring the awe-inspiring beauty of the television series to a live audience.”Planet Earth was the first natural history series to be filmed entirely in high definition, showing us rare footage of stunning landscapes across the world, and the weird and wonderful creatures that live in these places, it has unquestionably brought us some breath taking footage.

Fenton has created a theatrical presentation using footage from the BBC series. Audiences will not be disappointed.

The press release states ‘Planet Earth Live toured the USA in 2010, receiving rave reviews from the Dallas Star Telegram which described it as a “moving, majestic spectacle” and the Chicago Tribune which commented “Planet Earth Live reminded us the world holds infinitely more natural delights than we could possibly know or imagine.”‘

Robbie Williams_New Album for 2012

 Universal Music have announced that a new album from Robbie Williams is set to be released next year.

  A deal has been struck between the world’s leading record company and the most successful British male solo artist ever.  This will be Robbie’s first studio album since 2009, and is likely to be one of the most anticipated new releases of 2012.

Universal have released a statement from Robbie, in which he says, 

“I’m really thrilled to be joining the Universal family at what I think is the most exciting time in my career.” 

Robbie has already started recording the Album, at his Los Angeles Studio. Universal Music Group Chairman/CEO Lucian Grainge says on the Universal official website :

“What a thrill this announcement is. To be working with Robbie and his team, and to have the opportunity to support this incredible stage of his career, makes life so exciting.”

it is thought that Robbie is in a good place  and has even been described as ‘at his most creative stage right now’

As the current record holder for the most Brit Awards won in history, -Robbie’s 2010 Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution To Music brought his tally of Brits to 16, more than any other artist since the awards began-Seven number one UK albums, over 60 million albums sold and his greatest hits 1990-2010,being the best selling greatest hots album of last year, means he is the biggest selling solo artist in UK history,And lets not forget his phenomenal success with the Take That reunion. So we look forward to hearing the delights, that one of the most successful talents to come out of Britain ever, has to offer.

Rihanna Vogue Cover

 Rihanna graced the cover of British Vogue this month, looking absolutely fabulous.

For her début British Vogue cover, songstress Rihanna wore a  black silk cady and floral-print silk shantung cocktail dress with velvet band at waist, by Giorgio Armani Privé. Her nude make-up was Mac Cosmetics, applied by Hannah Murray. Hair was by Ursula Stephen, and the stunning photo was snapped by Photographer Alasdair McLellan. the Singer, sported  blonde bob for the pictorial, and i’m sure you will agree, it suits her.

Rihanna hit the headlines recently for getting booted off an irish farmers land, whilst shooting a music video, for apparently showing too much skin, but if we all looked like that, we would be showing a bit more skin too.

This issue of Vogue went on sale October 6 2011

inside the magazine the full pictorial is just as stunning, and in her interview, she discusses some difficult issues, what it was like growing up with an addict parent, and some light hearted issues such as her favourite word, which is a vulgar swear word in English but means something quite innocent in her home of Barbados. you will have to read to find out what she said.

 

James Bond film named

A special Film press conference has taken place to announce the Title of the 23rd James bond film.The title has been confirmed as SKYFALL. Daniel Craig will for the third time take the title roll, and said to reporters at the event that he wants it to be “best bond film of all time ” .  Berenice Marlohe and Naomi Harris have been named as the latest Bond girls. Oscar winning director Sam Mendes will be taking the reigns, and said the storyline will take the secret agent to London, Turkey, Scotland and China.

 

M5 UPDATE

The M5 has reopened, following the crash  that involved 34 vehicles.  Teams have worked tirelessly, to get clear the aftermath, and gather evidence,trying and get some perspective into what caused this tragic accident  that claimed the lives of 7 people, and caused injuries to many more, some of which are life changing.

 Investigators are now looking more closely at the fireworks display that was taking place at the Taunton Rugby Club, just a few hundred yard from the crash site.  Sources at the rugby club has stated  that the display finished at 8.15, it is thought that it is possible that the thick smoke left from the fireworks finale, may have lingered in the air due to the lack of wind that evening, settling down over the road at around 8.30pm. This may have caused restricted vision to motorists. There are also reports of very heavy fog. a full investigation is under way, and police say that they will be thorough and leave no stone unturned in their quest for the answers.

my personal thoughts go out to the families and loved ones of those who tragically lost their lives, and thoughts go out to those still critically injured, and those recovering at home.

Did everybody see the new M&S Christmas advert, that aired during the advert break on  tonights XFactor?

All 16 acts f this years competition banded together for the advertising campaign,  the festive-themed advert saw the finalists sing an arrangement of winter warmer When You Wish Upon A Star orchestrated by Ivor Novello-winning producer Richard Stannard.

Opening with a small girl unwrapping a red and white teddy on Christmas morning, the ‘may all your Christmas dreams come true’ theme saw different generations celebrating the festive season.

im sure this will be a winning idea from the high street chain.

 

JLS from strength to strength.

 JLS show just how far they have come, since coming second place on X FACTER in 2008. This week they acted as mentors and advisers to New Vibe, the all boy bad in this years competition, giving them some tips and advise, and who better to give it

In the short three years since losing out to Alexandra Burke, they have achievedand outstanding 4 number one singles from a chart topping nnumber one album, which has landed them no less than twelve awards, including 4  MOBOs and 2  BRITs. They ended this week, with an amazing live performance, of their current single TAKE A CHANCE ON ME, on the very stage that brought them to fame, the single will be out next week. , they announced that their second album will be out the week after next, and hey will be doing a tour in April next year. all in all our British boys Aston, Marvin, JB and Oritse are doing pretty well I’d say. Keep it up boys.

 The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have finally decided where hey will live, whilst carrying out their royal duties in London. The newly married couple have chosen a large apartment in Kensington Palace, once habited by Prince Williams Great Aunt, Princess Margaret. The apartment is due to have extensive renovations carried out including complete rewiring, removal of asbestos and new water system, so the couple will not actually move in until 2013.

They currently live in a smaller apartment at the same palace, which Prince Harry is reported to be moving into, from his current abode at Clarence house,once it has been vacated.

Things are going very well for the popular royal couple, after a very successful and high profile tour of Canada and the US, they returned home to start their first of many royal duties, charity work and appearances, although these are being kept to a minimum as to not overshadow The Queen in the run up to her Diamond jubilee.

Kim K flies to Minnesota.

According to reports, Kim Kardashian got onto a last minute flight to Minnesota last night, for face to face discussions with her estranged husband Kris Humphries. TMZ.com posted pictures of Kim as she walked through Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at 5.30 am ;local time: and they also started that a source close to Kim has said “Kim has been saying even before she filed for divorce that she wasn’t sure about ending the marriage”

Anyone who knows Kim says that this is definitely not a reconcilliation, Kim wants Kris and herself to talk things through and have complete closure and understanding, before pushing ahead with the divorce.

Looks as though this story isn’t over yet.

Tragic M5 crash.

 Today we all saddened by news of the shocking mulitcar pile up that occurred near to  junction 25 of the M5 at around 20.30GMT yesterday evening. So far the horrifying numbers are 7 killed, 51 injured and 34 cars involved in the crash, that resulted in a giant fire ball ripping through some of the crashed vehicles, it is believed some of the fatalities, were caused by this fire. Anyone concerned about their relatives can call 0800 092 0410 for information. The age and sex of the injured and the fatalities are still unknown.Eye witnesses have reported hearing the calls of help from people trapped inside their vehicles. but their frustration of being restricted, to what they could do as the flames were burning so hot it was almost impossible to get close to the vehicles.

it s said to be the worst crash since, 1993, where  a pile up caused the death of 12 Children on the M40.

North Petherton Carnival which was due to be held on Saturday night, just north of the crash site has been canceled as a mark of respect.
